"Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan." This is a saying from our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal. Most say that children are the hope of the future, and that alone places a huge weight on the shoulders of the youth of every generation. It’s hard to look forward to this when the young people who are considered to be the hope are losing hope themselves. What’s worse is the fact that some of the people expecting these kids to change the world for the better are the reasons why the world is in a bad situation in the first place. We believe that empowering the youth is one of the best ways to encourage and inspire them- not only in order to make the world a better place for everyone else, but most importantly, for themselves. This advocacy is essential not only to the young people but also to everyone else as we aim to build awareness for everyone and also understanding between the younger and older generations.
Included in our campaign are the stories of local and popular youth, inspiring words from young people, articles about youth-led organizations, announcements about youth-related programs and projects, linked videos of speeches and talks about youth empowerment, and online forums and polls where visitors can share their thoughts. The platform will also serve as a space for young people to interact and create camaraderie and shared understanding with each other.
Join us here at Youth and I where we encourage and give hope to our present youth.
Be an inspiration to our aspiring future generation.
